Two weeks is nothing. It will take up to a couple of months in order to get your site to rank high.
It depends on the competition, your SEO knowledge and experience. Sometimes it's a matter of luck too.

My site went about a year with no rank, then it jumped to a 2. About a month later it jumped to a 3.

N/A is different than pagerank 0. Your site is not indexed. Submit your site to social networking websites and your site will get indexed a lot quicker than waiting to submit your URL to Google manually.

It is indexed about month ago. though it is still not ranked. even I have troubles doing link exchanges when my site not ranked. because many webmasters don't accept my site because it is not ranked :(

you need to have some patience my friend.

almost all brand new domains have N/A assigned. After some time, may be 1 week or 2 months you get a PR 0. And if you manage to make a nice link building for your website, then you'll get a higher PR, when Google updates the PR.

Really it can take up to a couple of months though most sites get indexed in between 1 week and 1 month when google does a deep crawl. Now to make sure the google bot will find your site place it on high ranked sites such as this forum and social bookmarking sites such as www.digg.com

Google generally updates page rank every 3 months lately. December and March recently. Just keep working and you should have a nice surprise in June!
