has anyone seen this? Is this a credible site? They're saying that every search helps charities.. so what do you think? (in case anybody asks, not mine.. :p)

yes.. i got a mail from my friend too... Their how Goodtree works and the FAQ section not mentioning anything about their services in detail.

And in their about us page.. i cant find any information about their charity.. They saying like Goodtree is a web company as a normal one.. A part of earning from Goodtree will be sent to those charities...

    Great.. Nice idea.. I hope...

    Any comments friends?

well its not really a surch engine at all... all the results are a PPC XML feed... Surch engines are supposed to cull all the results from the web... this is pure advertisements that are paid for by bidders.... useless IMO.

Also when you surch for something like say "shoes" it only has 81 results... "mortgage" has 44... LOL

I use GoodSearch. They've been featured in numerous media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal.

Even if they're credible they only give about 50% of revenue to charity. Don't like the fact that they earn the other 50% under the banner of charity.
It costs them practically nothing to set up and maintain their site.
    Interesting article here:

I'll break you a better deal. I have google search on my website:
    http://www.freedecentdownloads.com

I promise you as of today that 100% of earnings from that will go to World Vision.
