Just wanted to let everyone know that I have resigned my editorship with the ODP. So, as my interest in SEO and related topics was only connected with my editorship, I don't expect to be posting much around here any more.

Thank you to those who were willing to enter into some open-minded, healthy debates and good luck in your future endeavours.

:( This is sad. It's difficult being an editor for the ODP with so much undeserved anger directed at you.

We just lost a very good man. Many websites will go unlisted in alucards absence.

    alucard, please come back.

    No thank you.

A very few people know the reason why. Senior editors who want to know can ask me. For everyone else, the reasons are mine.

I hope it suffices to say that it has absolutely nothing to do with anything on this board, editor corruption, or my belief in the ODP as a concept - I still am a strong supporter of what they are doing and how they are doing it.

    blimey!

i had a cursory look around as to what this might have been about; can't find much. Was it over regional/shopping dupe listing policy?

Your post doesn't make any sense.

    But

IT IS A GOOD THING ANYWAY. :D

I will be more interested to read your posts now since hopefully it will represent your own opinion and truth instead of DMOZ blah, blah, blah.

I have always doubted that anyone honest or with morals can be active in DMOZ and hopefully these are the reasons that you left.

Some people, such as Alucard, have truly outstanding values that cannot be corrupted. Corrupt people cannot understand this.

Alucard is an exceptional person; this was represented in everything he wrote in this forum. He will not say anything that contradicts what he's said in any of his posts to date; they truly represent his own opinion and truth.

Edit: oops, alucard responded as I was typing, but I stand by my words.

Ah and a red rep on my last thread - how fitting of the manner some people conduct themselves around here.

Your wish: "just go quietly and spare us the drama"

    Is now granted.

My anonymous red rep for this thread simply said "go away"

    How eloquent.

At least now you can see how your fellow editors behave with their red reps to anybody who disagrees. They must feel that you have joined the enemy camp by quiting DMOZ.

It is known as DMOZ editors drive by shooting. ;)

    How?

Does DMOZ editors have a committee on who they should gang up on and give red reps?

Why anyone who doesn't like DMOZ should give him a red rep for quiting DMOZ?

To think of it, I am going to give him a green rep for his good decision. :D
