I like to think of it as a rumor but... if you are google, how do you repond to social book marking and kill off your competitiors? Use google search engine as a platform to launch your services. Create another stumbleupon and do it better. Also come up with a goolicious to kill off delicious. This is like microsoft using IE to kill netscape. Yeah, and it is also a good way to kill off pagerank by redirecting the focus to pagerate.
so its not true ? I am so confused now about PR is it going to stay or there will be a Web Rank or whatsoever :S
The fact that you can only get this toolbar via IE tells me it's fake also because that eliminates all Mac users (IE is no longer produced for the Mac).
is this some joke? lol This guy is living in 2001 i guess. This smiley option is been there for months together and he discovered this on 28th september 2007? lol I clicked a small close button on the browser after this Not worth my time!

Wow, I don't know what to think now. Being the newb that I am, I started to believe the article, noting, of course, that there was a request to subscribe to an RSS feed. And now, reading over comments from others... well, all I can say is, I guess I'll believe it when I see it. Thanks for a possible heads up. Since I've heard nothing else on this matter, at least I have something to look for.
I was wondering if Google Goes to the pagerate system then maybe it wouldn't object to people buying or selling links anymore. I guess it would create a big link sellers market, cause people could then do it freely just for traffic and not have to worry bout getting in search engine's ways.
LOL @ linkbaiting. Regardless, even if it is true, I'm sure there will be tons of coders the world over getting to work on it.
I have been voting for my sites with the google smiley system for about a year. Just about every time I update a page or create a new one, I give myself a positive vote to conclude the process. I read somewhere that a positive vote invites Google's index robots to visit your page sooner... Don't know if that is true, but since the smiley face is there to be pushed, I do so. I don't believe that I have ever voted for anyone else's site though, I am too busy. I hope that this is not how sites will be ranked in the future, we will all be pandering for smiley votes... and turn into politicians!
i am not going to read it since its not on google i mean officially by google and if i am not wrong you might be its owner
good strategy for Link Development... i will write an article for msn and yahoo 's new website worth system . WWS
