    I agree.

I just wish more people would look a the big picture instead of just throwing blame at someone else without really thinking about the factors that brought on the situation, and looking at the actions of all sides and make an objective observation.

I quess just blaming something is just easier....and really thats the scary thing.

I think Bush's poll ratings say differently.

But I have to agree that the vast majority of Americans don't think for themselves and don't bother with seeking other sources of news. They just believe whatever the news tells them. If it's on Fox or CNN...then it has to be the unbiased truth right?

I don't think it's that. Most Americans simply don't give a damn!!! And you know what? Most Europeans, Japanese, Australians and so on...

That's another good point. Most Americans live in a delusional bubble because what they hear going on in other countries doesn't affect them so they don't give a damn. But if something happens here...the world is coming to an end.

I'm not complaining that we don't have half the problems other countries do, but the fact that Americans are just ignorant of world affairs and politics, and then try to explain it without knowing just makes them look like idiots...which the world sees.

The rest of the world spends alot of time finding out whats going on here and the people here just ignore everyone else. That could be part of the "image" problem America has too.

RH78, pull yourself up out of the "blame America first" self-loathing festival, you're better than that.

It's not "self loathing"..it's the truth. No one really takes the effort to see behind the Fox and CNN news reports to get a view from a different perspective. Most people just take what the media says as the truth and it's even worse with the bias reporting done with all the media sources here.

You would be suprised at how many Americans don't even know where half of these countries are, or why we are over there. Hell, they don't even know who the vice president is.

They are too busy soaking in their "self loathing" and "woe is me" mentality to actually appreciate what they have and ignorant of the rest of the world.

You are entitled to your own opinion. Most people are busy living life in a great country. You can only speculate they are not living up to your own standard of finding information, whatever you think entitles you to that.

Come on, you're better than that. There's plenty of people here that whine and self-loathe and blame America first. Is that what you are really about too?

LOL, shock horror, an American that questions his goverment, doesn't blindly believe what he's told by them and the media and thinks for himself.
If GHeil had his way he's have you shot for treason ;)

You talk about Americans as if it's different in other countries.

You have no idea how wrong that is. The rest of the world is not spending a single second finding out what’s going on here. The only things they know is what they see on Desperate Housewives, The Simpsons, Jay Leno and what they read on tabloids. Believe me, the average Norwegian knows nothing about Americans.

What question did he ask the government?

Don't you have some terrorists to defend and Christians and Jews to attack, today?

Are you deliberately ignorant, or is it natural?

I have a natural tendency of making you look ignorant, especially when you can't answer the question!

But really, you do most of the work on your own :D

Wow. What a statement. Oh informed one, teach us how you discover such truths.

I would find that statement so shocking if I didn't just dismiss it as your ignorance and arrogance; a deadly combination that Bush suffers from too.

ok, ok, so 95% might be an exaggeration, but you surely have no idea what’s going on down on the streets around most of these places.

Check this out, our good friends in Egypt, a "modern" moderate Arabic nation:
literacy for the total population: 57.7%. Now, literate is not considered educated yet now is it.... you get the picture.

While yo-yo's solution is to install cruel and ruthless despots over at these nation as means of controlling extreme islamists. The thing he doesn't understand is that those same rulers tunnel all the people’s desperation and unhappiness toward America and Israel as if they are to blame to how poor and unsuccessful they are.

You seem to believe that everyone who does not share your view is some kind racist. That’s a very narrow minded approach for a "Liberal".
