I started an affiliate website selling an affiliate product. I was wondering what is a good way to build up an email list with people in a specific niche. Looking for white-hat or grey-hat methods. I know of using a squeeze page, but other then that what have you guys done to build up an email list?
You need to do a deal with other list owners. Offer them something related to, but not in direct competition with, their niche for 100% net proceeds. You'll need your own product, or exclusive resale rights to one, to do this obviously. If they like the product, it's a breeze for them to promote for quick profits - and you get the traffic to your squeeze page. Hope that helps!
IF you can become an expert in that niche providing great content..you can build your list real fast.
The best way to build a list, or rather one of the proven ways that I know works, is to do article marketing to an opt-in page. People who are looking for information to solve a problem, such as help with marketing and the like, are likely to opt-in if you promise to tell them "secrets only subscribers get" (a tad bit grey hat, but nonetheless useful.) Then you can start building up a list and selling products.
A few methods that work: Advertise on related websites Comment on related blogs and forums Article marketing
Offer a free valuable product to your visitors. To get niche targeted visitors exchange link with your niche related websites or blogs. Forum marketing also could be a goldmine to get targeted visitors.
Give out free stuffs/ebooks that people like and you ought to make an email list for yourself. be careful not to target pure freebie seekers though.
