That's always a good way to go. Giving things of value. Other good ways is to create free templates for popular systems like wordpress, drupal, shopify, magento etc... Or give a pack of templates on your own website for free and promote a link to that free giveaway page. It can catch real quick if the quality is good. Good article too it rings very true!
