Good Virus / Spyware network protection?

    For internal computers, we've been using Mcafee. We have been testing AVG with some good, some not so good results. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good network based virus/spyware protection tool? Preferably something with network wide control?

    Where I work we use TrendMicro Office Scan and Server Protect. Good web-based, network-wide control.

    Hmm, interesting. So, the ServerProtect is the main program running the show and the Office Client is for each computer. Good pricing too. I'll continue my research, thanks!

    actually, they are two seperate systems -
    OfficeScan protects the PC's
    ServerProtect protects (you guessed it) the servers

    they run independently. The OfficeScan deployment/control server can be installed on the same server as the ServerProtect control server.. Confusing - but after 5 years i've almost figured it out..

    5 years, wow. Well, do they have a linux version? Does it work across networks? What centralized control options are there? I know there are free demos but I figure, 5 years of experience :)

    Is there a Linux version? I don't know
    I will work across networks as long as the clients can see the deployment server
    You can control just about everything centrally - installs, uninstalls, scan settings, updates/upgrades - everything.

    have you tried nod32 ? I was satisfied with their software, until I installed linux. I don't worry much about viruses any longer :)
