Guys, I bought a PR4 domain called www.hanmochina.com for $4 it has a lot of back links, my traffic stats are at www.hanmochina.com/stats in summary I've receive over 16,000 uniques since the beginning of March 2007. I put an adsense search engine on my site, this has only netted me $12 with a CTR of 10.19%. I've played around with keyword setting etc. but can seem to make anymore money from the site. I no the site looks naff etc. but is there a better method of converting money from this amount of visitors which is easy to do, i.e. a completely new website i can put on this domain. Appreciate any help you can give me. Reidy
Most of the traffic your seeing is search engine spiders (Googlebot, Slurp, Live, etc.). AWStats is terribly confusing in that way. I'd say $12 isn't too bad considering the actual visitor traffic and the fact that it's probably Chinese traffic. Heck, you already tripled your money! ;-)
Have you experimented with ad placement, colors of your ads, and different sizes? I would try that next to improve your click thru rate.
Do you know where your traffic is coming from? Maybe you should try targeting the website based on the traffic

Pay per impression from programs like fastclick seems like the best way to go.. like NYDAZ said, there's not enough content to do well in adsense.

I believe everyone agrees on the non-content-rich part. Maybe with that amount of traffic maybe you should consider building it as a directory and monetize. Not unless you know chinese, that will be a different strategy altogether.
I'm not a real SEO guru, but as I understand one of the reasons why search engines send you a traffic is because of content, so I think if this page will stay as it is now, you will see traffic goes down soon. It's a good idea to find out what the content was at the web-site (see search engines cache) and purchase some articles. Also, google ads is not the best way to convert traffic to money. If your traffic is valuable enough, consider using some affiliate program. For a better statistics consider installing google analytic.
You need content relevant to your adds to make money on adsense, its not wasy to get much out of it on an adsense site built purely for adsense use it put unique content on it and go on from there
I suggest you look at Adsense help. It has a lot of ways to help you optimize your site. But after implementation, wait for about a month to see the results as the SEs would have then indexed your new pages fully.
