these kind of articles are nice to have and provide a start to new comer, however as they are rather old then the new comer has to take each recommendation with a grain of salt as it is most likely that the rules have changed, SEO is a complex field and any new person would do well just trying one area at a time and mastering that area, then moving onto the next when they have a full grasp of the technique. an example of this is social media, everyone says join a social netowrking site and get 500 friends then form a group and then build your sales funnel, yet no one has told them how to go about getting the 500 relevant friends... this technique must be mastered first, next you need to learn how to build a squeeze page and learn about autoresponders, learn about double opt ins and how to use your thank you page. once this is all done then you can build your group and funnel your friends through it all
