Article marketing is first ezine and then articlebase, buzzle, goarticles and articledashboard? also for social bookmarking i am assuming digg, reddit, propeller, mixx and delicious? (not sure that they are all dofollow since i see them as the quickest way of getting the page indexed) Thanks
I tried most of what you mentioned, but never get traffic from there, and backlinks doesn't show any effect
Lately, I have been having much better luck with Articlesbase than Ezine Articles. The articles are ranking higher and getting many more views and conversions. Also, another great place to submit articles for views and rankings is WorldVillage.
Agree to this. I have posted lots of articles to goarticles and articlesbase but never any backlinks or traffic. I'm using yahoo siteexplorer for checking backlinks and GA for checking referral websites but zero backlinks and traffic from these articles sites. I've got a few backlinks from do-follow social bookmarking sites but no traffic.
The absolute best site for Article Marketing is your own blog or website. Article directories are great at producing added links into your own properties, but they are filled with advertising and links to other articles which bleed away your own readers, and chances to convert the reader to sale or opt-in. Always put your articles on your own sites first, and then submit to EZA, ArticlesBase, GoArticles, etc., linking back to associated articles on your own site. (Not the same article.)
I agree with this. You shouldn't rely on directories for traffic, but backlinks. I always try to use as many directories as possible even if they aren't the highest traffic site.

I only use ezinearticles, then digg, reddit, delicious, stumbleupon, diigo, oyax, misterwong, and jumptags, good backlinks indeed.

Ezine is still tops in my mind if you are wanting a combination of SEO value and traffic value but GoArticles is quick with the instant acceptance of articles but doesn't always seem to perform as well SEO wise. Both websites articles get indexed within a day or so though.
