Hi All, Just wondering if any of you have found some good wordpress themes that both are strong on the SEO end of things, but also look good? I'm looking for a Wordpress theme that will be aimed towards youth. Any ideas? Brian
Yes...this is what I had to do. Find the template that is as close as possible to what you want to accomplish...and hack the crap out of it, until you get what you really want. There are 1000's of themes, and many of them are very nice as stand alone templates, but it just wasn't what I wanted, so that was my only option. It is very easy to do, (Kinda) and you come out with something that is not used by any other blogger out there, which is what bothered me. Without hiring someone to custom build and code a template, "refurbishing " one was the best option.
lol But seriously, I tend to like doing what hmansfield said, its easier to find a site or a theme you like and either making a new one that is similar or just rip it apart and customize the heck out of it.
I am not tooting my own horn, but I did not know anything about any codes at all earlier this year. Nothing. Now my blog is certainly not award winning, but I took this theme, and made it into this one. I am here to tell you, I am a total hack, but it is very possible to learn. and I got most of my help from forums, like DP. I highly recommend "hacking up a good one"
