    I am a regular at digitalpoint and webmasterworld.
    (by the way, most forums on webmasterworld are free, you only have to pay to get to some of the 'members only' ones).
    They are complimentary for me. on the one hand, webmasterworld can give you lots of technical advice and there are people who know a lot about running websites. on the other hand, their rules are much more strict. here you can get honest advice about your sites and domains, you can have a sig, post a link to a directory you started... here you can recommend sites and services you like, ... etc
    you can't do those things at webmasterworld. a moderator will edit your message and replace it with this:

    "<snip> (see terms of service) "

    so, they complement each other and have different purposes for me. They're very different communities each with a different focus.
