Good Search Engine

Hi, I want to start a search engine and i was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how to make your search engine successful??

A search engine?That would be hard to make it successful..
Almost everyone uses Google OR Yahoo,even MSN cannot catch up with them.

 

Are you being Richie_Ni I thought anyone or any company with a spare 4 Billion Dollars could make a successful Search Engine

4 Billion Dollars ? If he has that much,why he wanted to start a SE?Try to earn more?

Nah dude, don't quit - never quit. You think the two college students that created Google would've been successful if they decided to quit when Yahoo! was launched? The answer is no.

Yahoo!, for example, was the "god" of the internet in the 1990's. Google had nothing on them, and yet Google was older (I believe) than them. Create a new technology, or do something better, and you'll go far.

I don't think that you can beat google yahoo msn ..etc.It's worth trying but I don't really think you can succed.

 

its good idea but probably you can make some local search engine for start

 

google offers it's search engine in a lot of languages if that's what you are talking about ..

I think if you want to create something, you need to do it, no questions just do!!! Also I have a suggestion why we can't create new search engine together ? I mean each of us experienced "searcher"-"user" so we can made our ideas in something better then google or yahoo. Yea may be this is a dream, but personally I think that each of us need to try do something greate in this nice life..

 

i think its a good idea in a idealistic world but in a world where everyone is driven by making money people will want an even share of everything made and i dont think that will happen. But good idea.

 

i dont suggest you to start a search engine . it's hard to get success . there are big players on search engine sector

 

if you want to have a search engine make one that gives perfect search results

 

Google still has improvements to make...if you can succeed where they have shortcomings.....go ahead..

 

U-h-h... Guys, you just don't understand. I'm a friend of ONE man that started ALONE and was succesful. Check this out on smartppc.
There was ONE man at the begining. It's his child
