Good ranking, NO visitors... please advise!!

hi dpers,

i have a new painting services website, www.paintingservicestoronto.com ,
my main keyword is "painting services toronto" which gets 12000 searchs a month on google..

for about 2 weeks now, i am on 1st & 2nd page, and getting no visitors from Search engine..
i am also #1 for this keyword on yahoo.ca

please give me some advise to get organic traffic..

I see you on the last position on Page 1 in Google Canada for Painting Services Toronto.

Click through rates tend to be low for sites that do not feature in the top five. People tend to check out the top most links and few people, if any, scroll to the bottom of the page.

Also, the Adwords keyword tool does show 12,000 searches, but if you narrow it down to an exact match search, it shows only 170 odd searches last month.

 

ok that does make sense,
when ad words says 12000 searches broad, does this mean searches through the combo of those words..? what are the keywords for those 12000 searches..?

 

It is a combination of keywords in which one of painting, services or toronto was present.

Your site got ranked #7-#9 in Google.com based on US ip. It is hard to say those 12,000 searches since you it came from Broad matching. As gr8liverpoolfan mentioned, it should not be that accurate.

No tools could give you an exact number of search even Google itself. It is only give you an illustrate about the number and trend as estimate.

 

It's depends on visitors

 

Maybe you should change your keyword target into more wide Keywords, more universal keyword (Short tail Keyword). Or you can research again.

are you maybe on american server or on canadian? Because you do not rank for pages from canada but for world wide.

 

i am on an american server with a canadian business, is this a problem..?

 

This is really a local serp/google maps gig given your demographic. I also concur with gr8liverpoolfan. You really need to be better ranked on page one in general but the search volume is frankly not there for that term. You need to go about this a bit differently. This is more a marketing job than SEO. You need to be contacting contractors, etc.

I would recommend you to install google analytic, it is free. From then you can tell almost exactly how many visitor per day and where they come from.
