Hi, I'm a good programmer and love programming so much. But lately I lack of ideas to create new software. Can anybody give some suggestion :

    1) what software do you really want?
    2) a litlle description about your dream software

Hope I can start writing software again.Thanks.

Ideas are really what make the difference. Check out the market around you, look around the web. Make some scripts and calculators/converters (weights, excel etc etc ) which you think could be useful.

I think you should join a Programming forum. You'll get some good help over there.

OR try to get jobs at Freelance websites.

Something i've been looking for (and have only found that Vista has it built in - one of vistas better features) is a program that allows you to make only certain applications play sound.

For example if I have open iTunes, Firefox and MSN but only want to hear the sounds from iTunes then I could mute the other applications so I don't hear the beep when I get new messages on MSN or any sounds that play in the browser.

I've been looking for something that works on XP for my laptop (I use vista on my main computer).

No idea if thats what kind of idea you were looking for...but have it, i'm not going to program it.
