Good (POssibly Free) Video Player for Website?

    Arright I have seen lots of websites (like blogs, etc..) that have videos:

    anyway, my point is; there are alot of different video players ppl use.

    I want to start a website where I host my own videos (not like a youtube site where everyone hosts random crap, more controlled and specific) and would like to have a good video player.

    Would free video players work? Like Microsoft, Winamp, VLC, Quick Time, etc...?

    If yes, then are there any other good alternatives to these videos?

    Bottom line is I need a player that is oriented for online use, similar to the video players you see on popular video sites. Preferrably it would be free, but I guess coding it from the bottom up would be an option if there are no good free video players.
