Good Position; Bad Traffic

Well, I've climbed and clawed my way from nowhere to number 2 for a fairly good key phrase, on Microsoft, and woohoo, I get an entire visitor or two per day for my efforts.

Heh, I realize every single IP flitting by the site helps, but really! I guess all I can do is wait for my promotion efforts (with respect to MS) to filter on across to Google or something.

In the meantime... I've got to start working on some more phrases I guess...

No, you can't {wait} for your MS efforts to propogate to google, that's not how it works, how you are in google is how you are now, waiting can help in the ageing factor but don't expect to sit back and reap google rewards, google are a different fish altogether.

Congrats, but your work has only just started.

MSN doesn't get as much traffic as Google so you should aim for a rank of #1 in Google to get some more traffic

    Thanks

SJ, I know... I just meant that my backlink efforts are probably what has made me rise... so hopefully it will help with Google too.

Wow, I checked out my key phrase on Google. The first result is reasonable and the rest of the entire first page is very crappy MFA sites. I mean, these sites don't really even have a readable article or anything... just a link list, some Adsense ads and a bit of keyword driven news or something.

Pure crap! Not even any useful information on the search phrase itself!

Heh, at least I know my page would be a better result than everything except #1, if I can get it to show up on the first page. The fact that there are fools out there making money with such crap is motivating me...

getting higher position in MSN is quite easy and useless as well. For some keywords i am at number 1 at msn, i am at about 15 in google but get more traffic from Google as Google gets more traffic!
