I advise you to stick to eZinearticles. It is probably the best of the best. With 20,000 clicks via ezine i got a 15% conversion ratio.... Do the math...
Agreed stick to no more than a few good submission sites. Otherwise you'll start spreading yourself thin and personally I've not found the link juice to be worth it. Really what you are looking for are residual clicks through your article or about section to get interested buyers. Like others have mentioned, EzineArticles.com humps my face.

Hi, If you do submit the same article to more than one directory, try and submit your article to Ezinearticle first, and wait for it to be approved, and then submit the same article to the other directories, because EZA might not approve an article it finds somewhere else on the web! Coolmoss!
