Good place to start ?

    Hello all,

    Im fairly new to the affiliate programs and systems, i dont know much about it nor have i tried much of it before. Iv been going through this part of the forum and took intreast in it today.

    I would like to know where is a good place for me to make a start on affiliate programs. For example if someone can direct me to the right direction on where i should register (which is the best/most popular company).

    If users are kind enough to explain to me how affiliate system works would be great.

    In my opinion, the best place to start on Affiliate Marketing is Clickbank.

    I started at clickbank too and I had some good success. Quick and easy to get an account set up. Plus, people who buy online like to have instant gratification and these electronic products give them exactly that.

    The problem with clickbank is - almost all of the product's landing pages raise the flag SCAM in my head when I open them :D

    Depending on your website's niche, choose the product or program you would like to promote. It will be time consuming to choose the right one, but eventually you'll find it. The most important is that this product or program is closely connected to your niche, because then the traffic will be targeted and the level of conversion will be higher. Then you need to choose between all those ways of promotion and figure out which will work the best for you. And then start putting your theory into practice. So, good luck!

    Best place to start is your website, you need to determine what type of visitors your getting and examine what type of offer / product / service they would be interested in buying / using / subscribing too.


    There are plenty of CPA ( cost per action) networks around. Whats most important for you is too find out what works well for the type of traffic / visitors your website is getting.

    The same applies if your using e-mail marketing also.

    Start doing some research no one that's making real money is going to hand over a template for you to follow all they can give you is a idea on which way to head.
