Good payment alternatives to paypal? (receiving money)

    Hello,

I'm from Croatia, mid-europe country, and with no paypal. I mean, we do have it, but cannot accept payments via paypal.
Now, being webmaster of sites here is quite a pain once you need to monetize something. There are some alternatives I've been looking into, but so far only 2checkout seems okay.

Trick is, I need to choose something that is not untrusted by people, and can send me either checks, or direct bank transfer to my bank account.

Can you suggest something other than 2checkout or give some feedback about 2checkout itself based on experience?
And/or suggest anything, if you had similar problems?

    Thanks in advance.

You have got few reputable alternatives, depend the services and locations.

For example if you want an ecurrency located in offshore country (tax haven) you can use the following:
    HooPay
    Liberty Reserve
In both you should be an exchanger account to make direct withdrawals with bank wire.

And if you want an ecurrency in onshore country (taxable) you can use the following:
    Moneybookers
    Alertpay

    Cheers

OK, Moneybookers and AlertPay are great, I know that, but the trick is that with those services I can't get paid through PayPal - preferable method of paying for something :)

I know that 2CO allows the buyer to pay with PayPal which is processed by 2CO. My question would still be - is there anything like 2CO that offers the buyer PayPal as a paying method?

2checkout can be the best alternative to the PayPal. Because using 2checkout.com you can received payments by credit cards and PayPal. 2checkout.com has now an option to pay with PayPal.

I would say Google Checkout although it seems less attractive now after the recent announcement

What's wrong with using PayPal in this instance?

Having 2CO and acceping PayPal increases their market.

PayPal can already accept their own system + credit cards.

Unless you're looking for cheaper fees with solid support and protection, you'd be hard to find that. These companies actually charge more.

I also prefer Alertpay and moneybookers. There are many payment processors like 2 CO but 2 CO is famous and used by many
