Good or Bad SEO Practice?

OK, lets just say I have 100 subsections in my site, and some of them are actually sitting in the supplemental index and some of them are ranked fairly decent, the ones that are ranked decent are linked off of my homepage where the others are linked from another page within my site.

Do you think its wise to have every 25 pages rotate randomly every time my homepage is displayed? Do you think that will make a difference to push more weight to the other pages as when google crawls my homepage (which is about every day) it will be linked to a different set of 25 pages each time?

Any help or feedback is appreciated!

    thanks!

are you saying that when google crawls my site and see's a supplemental inner page linked from my homepage, it will bring down my value of my homepage?

You should see improvement, yes. You've established that pages linked from your home page receive better positioning within the SERPs, and so linking directly to some of the 'supplemental' pages from the home page should help.

You also get the side benefit of displaying a changed page every time the spiders come through, which will encourage them to come through more frequently.

If you want to improve the chances that those specific 'supplemental' pages are visible on the home page when the spider drops by, you might look at only changing the links once a day or once a week instead of every single page load, but it probably won't make much difference.

actually you make a good point regarding have it change once a day or once a week, but yea maybe not much of a big difference will be made over a long period of time....lets see what happens...thanks again for your feedback

If you want maximum link juice I would recommend some static links on your home page.
Link age is a big factor :)
