When looking to get back links for your website should you only get related backlinks from websites that are some what related to yours? Or should you get links from all websites like say if your website is about cars if you could get some PR4 backlinks from a flower website should u take them or not? When is a backlink not worth getting?

Well, it's not going to have a negative effect so why not. But, the actual value of the backlink will be less since the website isn't relevant to yours. Now, try to avoid any spam, affiliate marketing and made for adsense websites at all costs; no matter the Pagerank or relevancy of that site.

Ya that makes sense, I have been working a lot more on my blog animedaily . com and when i create posts they seem to rank page 1 - 3 with in a day or so with no link building and by doing link building i should beable to reach top results. Was wondering if you could give me some information on to how this happens is my site a Aurthority site? better yet what is a Aurthority site? My site has been registerd for few years also i belive.
Authority site was termed by the SEO community and not Google. Most likely the search terms your coming up for aren't that competitive and have a low search volume. But, if your targeting long tail keywords that is a good thing never the less. That means your writing proper and useful quality content.
Ya i am writing unique content and some things my site comes up for do get me traffic I am wondering what i can do to improve my traffic would it be smart to write a few posts for high traffic terms and seo those posts to rank page 1 to reach a new level in traffic?

Ssandecki already answered your basic questions. For traffic, you could 1.) Buy and exchange links on/with sites having good traffic. 2.) Advertise using adwords or any other program. 3.) Use social bookmarking. 4.) Blog commenting 5.) Do a bit of SEO for organic traffic .
