I just received an email from Adsense that they are supporting third party ad networks. presently they are accepting Ad networks of North America and Europe but will be expanding soon.

Sounds good to me but sounds like they are playing catchup with the media buy craze.

    Know ye this -
ALL the Google Certified Ad Networks ONLY SERVE CPM IMAGE ads.
CPM ads typically pay 1/10 cent per impression.
CPC ads typically pay 10 cents to $1 - or 100 to 1,000 times as much (when clicked).

Why on earth would you ever replace CPC ads with CPM ads? It makes no sense, unless you are getting tons of traffic, and cannot achieve a meager CTR of 1% using CPC.

I hope that my "opting out" of CPM ads years ago will "stick". Because I sure don't ever want to see any of Google's Certified Ad Network ads. All of which are of extremely low quality, and pay far less than CPC ads.

They should have started this long time ago so that most of the advertisers wouldn't had moved on to other third party etworks.
