I've had success in other affiliate networks but most of my experience is through CPA not cost per sale. So any tips for a relative newbie to clickbank in terms of niche hunting? Like I said before I'm an IM, so I am fully aware that half the battle is finding a good niche. Just asking what some of you seasoned CB veterans do when niche hunting on CB. Any advice?
I usually choose a product first (something that has proven to sell) and then I check, whether it's a good niche to enter. Use www.cb-analytics.com to help you with your research. Usually if a product has top gravity, that means a niche is profitable as well. Almost any niche is good, but you just need to find a relevant, hot-selling product.
There should be a tradeoff. Hot selling product means high competition. If you are not ready for that, it's better to go for some new (last month) but promising (growing gravity) product.
Sometimes it's good to focus on something that you are personally familiar with. Make sure there is a need in the market place though, first. It's more enjoyable to put together a campaign about something that you are interested in and it is usually shows through to your potential buyer
Hi Vitalink, Yes it is very good to focus on what you are familiar with... You need to select the right kind of niche which you are passionate about. It makes it easier for you to both understand the niche business process and make others understand too... I love micro niche business... I have gained more from there, it is very easy to market micro niche business...
I suggest going for microniches in this over saturated market. Think of what's hot right now. For example, late last year we knew that Unemployment is going to be the stuff. Yet, the "make money online" niche is so overcrowded. So instead we went for a product that helps to succeed job interviews. Think about it - most folks will never go for the "OMG MAKE MILLIONS ONLINE FROM HOME" methods, instead they would rather pay for something that will help them get the actual job. Also - business 2 business is always a good niche. With the cut of funding and marketing budgets in companies, managers will go ahead and look for ways to educate themselves and be more valuable to their companies. This is where we came up with Ultimate SEO Guide. I'm talking both from a publisher and an affiliate standpoint. As a publisher, I can create products that imho will have their own market. And as an affiliate, I'm thinking always looking for these types of products to promote. So if I don't find any, I create my own. Check my sig for the sites if you want. </creative spam>
I like to go to yahoo answers and see what people are talking about. Then see if I can find a product that matches on clickbank.
On answers yahoo, you can find a lot of information that people are talking about. Please go to the clickbank\marketplace and choose that you are familiar with and make comparisons and choose the best to promote. Focus on the highest average sale price that affiliates make and a reasonable gravity. Another thing is that you should pay close attention to the product quality. If you promote some junk product, you would never get paid.
