I'm building a travel website about sights and places worth visiting in cities. Which one is the best for a title tag: Barcelona, Spain - Things to Do: Sightseeing, Attractions, Places to Visit (Too long? Keyword stuffing? A word attractions is too competitive?) Barcelona, Spain - Sightseeing and Places to Visit (Shorter but less good keywords..) Barcelona, Spain - Sights and Places to Visit (Short and pertinent but there are not much searches on a word: sights) Thanks if you can help...
From the three choices you have here, I like the first one, but try removing the "Things to Do:" from the tag so it reads "Barcelona, Spain | Sightseeing, Attractions, Places to Visit"
I don't think this is a question that we can answer for you. You need to do proper keyword research and decide which keywords you want to target. Whichever words you target should be in your title. So do some research to see if it is worthwhile to target 'barcelona attractions', 'things to do in barcelona', etc.
Of course I have done keyword research. I decided to use this kind of title tag: Dublin Sightseeing, Attractions, Things to Do & Places to Visit in Ireland So I think this page get visitors if they search: "places to visit in ireland". This query has not much competition. And first words "Dublin sightseeing" are good too because they are at the beginning of a title tag and they are relevant for the page about Dublin.
