No. The forum would have better chance of succeeding if it were niche-specific. There are way too many "anything and everything" forums around for it to be popular, unless ofcourse you know how to properly market it (and have a decent budget).

This forum is so dark and gloomy. I wish the black color is replaced by some bright color.

You should make it specifically for taboo subects that people don't like talking about in public.
    e.g subjects "beyond discussion"

Get rid of the dark/grey theme too. It's awful.

You should ask yourself: "why would someone come to my forum rather than another forum that is out there?"
There are two main ways of addressing this question:
    1) Niche subjects
    2) Affiliation with a popular site

    1) If your forum is about something so specific that there just aren't any other forums out there about the same thing, then you have your answer. Now you need to market the forum to your niche customers, so that they know you exist. This should not be too difficult if your niche is tight.

    2) Create a site that attracts visitors, then make a forum attached to the site that discusses the topics that the popular site is about. This way, you are leaching visitors off the popular site to visit the forum, and they are more likely to come back to the forum to post, and hevce they are more likey to visit the site as well - a win-win situation. The only problem here is making the "popular site" in the first place!

Good luck with however you take your forum.

You could also 'niche' your site by making it about political/social issues that have been ignored by the general public and need to go "beyond discussion" to get attention.

EDIT: nichemysite.com is available - somebody should do something with it :)

Hmmm, the UsfTech theme is really bad.. either buy a nice theme like Aria or Greenfox, or.. look for a really nice free theme.

And the whole "off-topic" style forums are unpopular nowadays, as alot of large forums already have a section devoted to this kind of genre- though they have other genres as well, meaning it's not just for off topic.

I dunno though.. not a great idea, but not bad if you know how to work the angles.
