Hi, I am trying to think of a subject to do for a blog, and one of the things I am interested in is movies and tv shows, I have and watch a lot on dvd and it's something I could write good articles on. My question is do you think its a good idea to do? Would there be a 'market' for people to wanting to hear my opinions on tv shows and films or would it be a waste of time? I know it's a pretty general question and I suppose I wont know til I try but just wanted to ask your opinions. I have been thinking all day of what subject to do a blog on, has to be something I am passionate about or know a bit about and thats what I came up with. It wont really be about 'whats on this week to watch' either on tv or at the movies, it will be about stuff I watch on dvd, and that stuff is mainly older stuff. (Tho some current stuff too( I have written 4 posts already in notepad, those articles were on X-Files Oz Best foreign films Best characters in tv and film Interesting that could do ok or waste of time?
If you're interested in it, then how can it be a waste of time? Go for it. You could always do some guest movie reviews on my site to get your feet wet too
well, dont feel anything waste in life. even carbon-di-oxide that you make out of your body is useful for some other creatures and plants. So, better start right from now. who knows, one day, directors will come to you for internet marketing of their upcoming new movies. Go> get crazy>>>> you can send some articles for me too...I will publish your articles in my blog too.
If your blog provides the readers with a thought provoking content that gives a different point of view/perspective on the subject matter then you might have the chance to do something with a good quality that will most probably attract readers.
I would say go ahead and give it a shot. If you can then make some more categories to make it as entertainment related one !!
Thats what i am saying, by your writing skill, you can make people think with different endings of the same movie...too.
The sites that I have been most successful with are on topics that I enjoy. If you do not like the topic you will not want to work on it and it will show in your writing and with you lack of progress.
Not a waste of time. If you want hits, phrase a lot of points as questions "So what did skully do when xyz?" Lots of people search like that. God knows why. But yeah, sign up for an affiliate program too. Amazon.com works well. Link the dvd name/tv show name to that affiliate account. You'll get some cash, adsense aside.
