Good Idea For Dedicated Server?

    I plan on starting a blog installation and hosting on the side, what is the best way to offer a hosting plan with this.

    Do i get a dedicated server through a hosting company or do I get a reseller account??

    Um, the obvious question is do you know much about servers?

    If you don't then stay away from dedicated servers. It would be fine if it were just your sites on them, but when hosting other people sites you really gotta know what your doing.

    Reseller account is probably the easiest IMHO.

    You can start with reseller or vps and if need later shift to dedicated servers

    You should start with a reseller and then move up as necessary to a VPS or dedicated solution.

    A reseller plan would be best suited for you at this stage. Unless you really know how to manage VPS and Dedicated servers, have the time, as well as capital to invest right from the beginning!

    Since VPS / Dedicated would be expensive propositions to start with, my suggestion - go for reseller and start building your client base. When you reach a good threshold, time to review and move to VPS / Dedicated.
