Good Idea for A String Of Websites

Discussion in 'Sites' started by rnc505, Jan 1, 2008.

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on a great idea I had!

I was going to make a string of like 10 Pixel Advertising websites in which, for example, it will be "www.tenthousandarcades.com" or "www.tenthousandfreeoffers.com" or "www.tenthousandblog.com" etc.

Wouldn't this be a pretty good idea?

Please give me some feedback and PLEASE DON'T STEAL MY IDEA!!!

That is the best thing: since I'm targeting such overused niches (online games) (online free offers) (blogs) I can just e-mail people who own these websites. And it isn't like I will be charging $1/pixel - maybe 0.25/pixel or 0.2/pixel, I think is fair. I think I could earn pretty high....!!!!

I'm not sure about the merit of your idea, but I can tell you what probably *isn't* a good idea - trusting that no one will steal your idea when you post it in a public forum. :)

And unless you've already purchased domain names you post, I recommend you don't do that either. Just a word to the wise...

Everyone of those pixel advertising things that I have checked offer no value in Google. I had a nice PR6 link from one a couple years ago and it was great, but since then Google has targeted them.

If I am wrong show me one where the link actually counts as a backlink in Google.

This is already in the net ! and its an old one. So it is very hard to make it as a success.

You would be better off imho with a single good domain with subdomains.

    example:

    mybrandable.com
    blog.mybrandable.com
    arcade.mybrandable.com
    freeoffers.mybrandable.com

Google will view each of those as seperate sites and domains. You won't have multiple renewal fees either.

Why would they buy ad space if it starts out with no traffic though? They'll only pay if they're sure it'll gt them more than their money back. Getting traffic will be the hardest part. Maybe if you sold each small box for $5 at first you could get it started though.

From experience, I can tell you that no one's interested in buying pixel ads any longer. It's tough to get sales, no matter how low the price.
