I'm looking to get some cheap hosting for a new site of mine. Anyone recommend a good host or some good deals? So far I'm looking at dreamhost. They have great features and I think I can get a years hosting for 24 bucks with a coupon code. Suggestions?
I've used neureal.com and have been pretty happy...and I've used a lot of hosts. I guess it depends on your needs.

i agree... mostly. i use them for a basic site, and their uptime is excellent, and their support is GREAT, very fast. i also use www.doteasy.com for another basic site, and same thing... solid uptime and good support. NOT running e-com sites or any server-side stuff on these sites. FYI.
Likewise and they have plans starting as low as $5/month. If you can't spend that for a reliable service, you're in the wrong business
don't hurry up in signing up with a cheap host. do preliminary research before you sign-up with any cheap web hosts. Signup only with reputable ones and you sure would not repent your decision. Even though it would seem to cost more but minus the headaches, it would come out cheaper instead.

If you are looking for cheap but very reliable then A Small Orange is the say to go. I spread my sites over 3 hosts due to paranoia but the cheapest I use is ASO and their service and support is certainly comparable to more expensive options.
