Does anyone know of any good free template sites that offer decent templates? Preferably nothing too flashy...
    Thanks

Free or not, I don't believe the word "good" belongs in a sentence referring to off the shelf frameworks. They are universally poorly coded, quite often ignore the entire purpose of HTML and CSS, and in the end result in attempting to shoe-horn your content into a layout it wasn't meant for. Much of the problem stems from the completely broken thinking of "what's it look like on my screen" as the priority, without realizing that what you see is most always not what everyone else gets.

Though in the current mindset of "pay more later for something you can't afford now" and "flash over substance" it's hardly a shock scam artist whorehouses like templateMonster, themeForest or topFreeTemplate are thriving -- almost entirely by preying on the ignorance of those just starting out.
