Good Forum Layout?

I just Remade my Forum at OpinionRiot.com using a different Theme. I was hoping I could get some feedback

 

It looks like a gfx forum. Maybe get something a little simpler and more professional?

 

Maybe, I do have another Layout to use but I have to work on it a little. Thanks for the advice, though.

 

It's pretty good... for phpBB, which sucks. MyBB and SMF tend to have better-looking themes.

 

Haha, yeah, I have used SMF in the past and I liked it. However, I have more experience with PHPBB, so I just went with it.

 

I think its a pretty cool theme, in fact, I'am impressed.

Your site is missing the meta keywords and meta description.

Google shows that your home page is only 22k - which is good.

 

try a different theme..maybe something based on blue color..sky blue or something like that

 

good layout but the colours are waaayyy to dark for my liking

Thanks for the advice, I may try lightning it up, and adding some blue. I tried the background blue but it was too bright, but I can try another blue.

 

Have you ever thought of hiring somebody to make a custom skin? Just throwing it out there.

Well, I appreciate the criticism. I will try another layout so it better suites the site.

 

I recommend getting a better forum template to attract more people. More of a Professional template.

 

nice layout, i liked the footer.

Well, thanks once again for all the advice. I'm going to work on another Layout and then compare, and see if I want to keep this one or not.

I think that its good.. But if you know how to "design" then try a little mod

 

i dont really like this, needs to be improved

 

What kind of mod? I was thinking about adding a shoutbox when I have a final layout selected.
