I haven't done email marketing in awhile now and was hoping to get back into it.

Who has the best lists now a days? Also, who does everyone user for their mailings?

    Thanks,

I think the trend is now people getting their list through giveaways websites.

I'm looking into email marketing too. If anybody could post of somebody they've used with a very good emailing list, as well as an emailing service they've used that is also very good, that would be very helpful.

It's best to get an autoresponder account
and build your own list through something like
the giveaways - although people are actually
getting burned out on free stuff right now!

I have never seen a "bought" mailing list
that didn't generate a bunch of spam
    complaints for the user.

I use aweber.com to build my own opt-in lists.

You basically want to setup a page where you give the
visitor something of true value - for free - in exchange
for them opting in to your newsletter or ezine.

The "JV Giveaways" have been responsible for tens of
thousands of new subscribers for me over the years,
but I must admit, they have lost a lot of the punch they
had when the concept was new.

The trick now is that you must be involved in several
such events at once, and use a different product in
each of the events for maximum exposure.

Here is a list from a respected marketer, Guido Nussbaum,
that shows you where to signup and get started building
    your list for free:
    http://www.newmarketingpower.com/promoter/index.php

Working more on that same concept, you should approach marketers
with similar, but non-competing products, and ask to add YOUR
product to their download page as a free bonus for their customers.

Using this strategy, your list will be much smaller, but everyone
on it will be a proven buyer. :)

Hope this helps gang - I'm new here and look forward to working
    with you guys.

    Happy New Year!
    Ken
