I'm interested in advertising with adwords and am wondering how much I should be looking at spending in this type of advertising. I do not have much $ to advertise with right now. Will $50/month generate any meaningful traffic? Thanks in advance.

IF u started a new account than u will get some promotional code too, just try to invest $10 or less per day and if you getting some revenue than increase your budget. just take care of your bid and targeted traffic.

I agree with starting small to try and get a handle on things. No sense in wasting money. I would suggest being very specific with your words and locations to start and maybe even set some schedules after a couple days, but don't strangle the campaigns or you won't get any meaningful data.

ROI is the key issue indeed

Anyway I'm afraid that $50/month cannot generate any meaningful traffic

I would start with 10-20 relevant phrases, bid for lower positions and watch hourly. Depending on the avg cpc, $50 is very low.. maybe add an extra 0 and more realistic.

Im new to Google Adwords. Im trying to get my site(s) listed but not having an awful lot of luck.. got a few from €50 a month. So, from reading this, to get any decent traffic I need to pay €500 a month? Thats an awful lot of money for no guarntee it will appear, is it not?

You need to have atleast 1k$ to get something out of adsense . If you cant spent that using adwords may not be useful as low budgets do not have high sucess ratio ..

I started with $20/month. This was good experience, but definitely wasteful money-wise.

But it was much smarter than jumping in with $500/month, that's for sure.

Agreed. Start relatively small to learn and then increase accordingly. You should get an idea quickly on how much you need too spend.
