Good and Bad sites

Hey guys! Is there such a thing as a "good or right website" and a "bad or wrong website"? This is of course related on how we can get the right traffic to our site and perhaps help us identify the keywords that we could use to attract the good ones from the bad ones. If there are, how do you think I can differenciate one from the other?

This question is somewhat confusing to me, but I 'infer' that it is regards to linking back from other sites to your own as a traffic generation technique.

If I am correct, keep reading...

If I am wrong, please disregard, unless you know someone who could use this information and then pass it on them.

My initial thought to this question, is that if there is no such thing as bad publicity, than it stands to reason that there is no such thing as bad traffic.

It may not be highly targeted traffic, such as stumbleupon, but if you get even 1 customer out of a thousand from it, is it worth it?

That would obviously be determined by several factors, ie, pricepoint, demand, salesmanship (copywriting), etc.

If you want highly targeted traffic, you do things like google your keywords +blogs, and then comment on those blogs.

But that is only ONE method of traffic generation.

The best bet IMHO, is to employ a traffic generation system, using blogs, myspace, squidoo, youtube, ebay, etc.

Put the system in place and let the rest work itself.

Try checking out John Delavera's Barking Videos.

It's one of the best traffic generation guides I've seen. Very comprehensive.

There are some techniques that search engines not allow but there is no harm in using wise. We have to take care that limit should not be crossed.

This question is quite confusing, but if you are on about sites that are submitting content to your site freely, then the spammers would be the bad ones as they can get your penalized and even banned from the search engines as you control what links should go on your site, but you can control who links to your.
