    Hi...

I know, we are all worried about Paypal and still not sure, when the services are going to start again.

My accountant has suggested me a nice way..

But this wont work for freelancers. SORRY!
Its only for Business Owners, who have company registered under their name.

Apply for a merchant account with ccAvenue or Directpay or AXIS or HDFC or ICICI and put up your Payment gateway .

There you can accept all sorts of Credit card payments directly from your clients.
Also, their conversion rates are mind-blowing. Like 1-2 INR more than Paypal.

    Also, far better than Paypal..
In case,m Paypal gets switched off from India, im going to do this. ;)

Will this work with credit card payments only or people can use their PayPal or bank accounts also?

    Its nothing related to Paypal..

All this can do is, accept all of our client's credit card payments directly and send it to our banks.

this option exist from very beginning and is good one...

There are few minor details and you can also have CC payment gateway without merchant account, but you need to do proper paper work...

Also even after this problem is that it will work only for those who are paid for services...

payment from different sites like TLA can not be accepted using this method....

Thats what I said, its only for business owners, and not freelancers or bloggers or affiliates.

Its only those, who work with serious clients and big money.

Since most of the clients comes from US. Another option is if Payoneer or any other bank in US legally provide the facility of A/c Opening to Indians after proper verification. It would be a cheap and best solution. Anyone have any pointers on this??

For freelancers, I think, its best to get all payments to India and then transfer via XOOM to their bank accounts.
Not sure, abot XOOM monthly limits though.

I guess Alertpay is quite good although I want you to check it as I am not sure what kind of policies they are. Please give your suggestions. Even if the problem is temporary with paypal but who has time to wait, this is digital age if you don't run fast enough everyone will leave you behind.

Anyway anyone know about payment processing service outside USA (preference is in Canada)

I heard that amazon runs a payment processing company. And what about GOogle Checkout - I'm sure this must be great as Google excels in whatever they do. Google Checkout is gonna be the next big payment processor after Paypal. They will be so, because even if they don't have the capability, they have the financial muscle to acquire some company that has the right technology.

These two must be the alternatives.
