Are you wanting to offer an affiliate program, or send your web users to another site via an affiliate program? - Shawn
Why isnt clicksor better is more like the question? Clicksor offers more incentives, You get paid for every new affiliate you bring, No minimal pay out, Get paid via paypal or check, all sites accepted. While google offers. minimal payout $100, payment via check not all sites accepted these are the reasons i use clicksor.
I've looked at clicksor and can only seem to find their program to underline words in the body of the text. I don't see anything about text-based ads. Yet I do see those showing up on your site. Where on clicksor's site do they talk about those? I hate those underlined text things and would never use those.
They have an option for both types of ads. I'm trying them out over the weekend to see how they compare. I put them on a single page within digitalpoint.com that gets about 1,000 views/day... so we'll see how it compares to AdSense... Not terribly impressed with their contextual matching technology though. So far it seems like they are showing ads based on the keywords you enter for the site when you set it up. Maybe that's what it shows until it has a chance to actually spider it, but if that's how it is permanently, then it sucks. - Shawn
For a small site, it probably would be better... But I really don't want to define the keywords for hundreds of thousands of individual pages. digitalpoint.com has a lot of varying content within it. - Shawn
Yes, that's a very good point digitalpoint. All of my sites are pretty tightly focused. I've taken the plunge with one of my sites and am trying clicksor on it. It gets tons of visitors, but both adsense and bidclix has done poorly on it. We'll see if clicksor does any better. If not, it may just be impossible for me to make anything off of it, but we'll see...
Yes, mine is still pending too. Ah well, I'll try to be patient. Maybe since it's the weekend, it won't get approved till Monday.
Mine is active now... but so far, not terribly impressive (at least in the small sampling I've done so far). 266 impressions for 2 clicks. But more importantly the total earning are $0.07 (AdSense pays MUCH more per click on the page they are on). - Shawn
Well ran it for a couple days in a test location. This is how it compares to AdSense for me: Clicksor 0.4% CTR $0.04 (earnings per click) AdSense 1.1% CTR $exponentially more (earnings per click) Looks to me that since AdSense has so many more advertisers, the cost per click is much higher (which is good for the publishers). The one thing that Clicksor does have as an advantage is they give $5 for anyone that clicks on the "Ads by Clicksor" link and signs up for an account. So I earned $10 extra dollars that way. But still isn't enough to make up for the much lower earnings per click. So for now, I'm going to put a clicksor ad into the ad rotation on digitalpoint.com (throttle it to 1,500 impressions per day), and see if I can make a little money from publishers signing up. - Shawn
Hi All, Most of you probably know me as Catalyst at all the forums I mod or own. This is my 1st time here and I love the forum and have been spreading the word about all the awesome DigitalPoint Tools at other forums. Since the topic question was "Good Affiliate Programs" I thought I would introduce myself here. All of our 5 Star programs are parasite-free and several are cutting monthly checks for over 10K a month. Let me know if you have any questions or how I can help you make money with any of these offers.
HI EVERYONE I have a question for Catalyst.Do your affiliate programs accept affiliates worldwide? Thank you in advance for your reply.
HI smartgirl! Most of our programs do, but they all have different rules. Some of the CJ programs screen out certain countries that have high fraud rates. The in-house programs are typically a little more flexible and many of our programs have an in-house program even if they are also on CJ. If you have a nice site but can't get into one of the programs for some reason, let me know and I will contact the program manager and see what we can do. Hope to have you on our team!
