    Gone Girl is a fantastic movie. Great acting, great casting and great directing. But I have one major complaint - the screenplay.

    As amazing an author Gillian Flynn is, she and Fincher should've hired an experienced screenwriter to handle the script. The movie missed out on some core character development (especially Amy's) and the plot flow had missing chunks (especially Amy's beautiful diary entries that literally made you fall in love with her). Even Nick's pivotal 'smile scene' at the press conference was not given its proper weight, IMO.

    Enjoyable nonetheless.

    It was an amazing movie. After watching Gone Girl, I watched the Girl with the Dragon tattoo and have read the GG book as well.
    Brilliant adaptation of a brilliant book.

    Excellent movie, highly recommended!

    But best movie 2014 for me must be Nightcrawler. Unbelievable performance by Jake Gyllenhall. Really creepy guy.

    I agree! Very good movie! No boring moments. Very nice story. I feel for Neil Patrick Harris though.
