I'm heading to Vegas for a business trip this fall I was hoping a few members here would have some information for me, specifically: What's a cool hotel at stay at on "the strip"? I was in Vegas about 4 years ago and stayed at the Mirage, and I wasn't that impressed. The brouchure my travel agent gave me was loaded with hype but it failed to deliver everything. The hotel has to be in the strip, preferrably have a really good casino, and maybe some shows I really want to see Seigfreid and Roy, I missed them last time I was there. I did get to see Wayne Newton, that was definately a good show. What other good shows are worth seeing down there? I'm mostly looking for a great hotel and things to do in the evenings, as I'll be busy with a client during the daytime. Thanks for your insights
I liked the Aladdin, it's got an impressive mall. I really loved New York New York where relaistic neighbourhoods have been built. But next time I'm heading for the Excalibur. I would strongly recommend the Wynn to stay though, it's relaly beautiful, and the Stratosphere, where I had one of the best dinners ever (not only for the good food and wine!)
Depends on what you think is cool and how much you can afford. I like Ballys/Paris because its not full of tourists or kids and its center strip so I can easily get anywhere. Seigfried and Roy arent there anymore. I guess you didnt hear, Roy was eaten by one of the tigers. Shows change often, so its hard to tell you which shows will be there when you go.
