Hi, I'm a little ticked, shocked...just don't understand....Someone I know just got back from vacationing back east. They were in NYC for 3 days...and were TOO BUSY TO GO TO GROUND ZERO!!!...but they had hours to spend in the M&M store, go have hot chocolate at Serendipity...see a show, see every Sex and the City location possible!!....WTF!! How can you be so shallow?? Please don't get me wrong, I can fully understand why someone who lost a loved one would have a hard time... I knew this person was a spoiled rotten 20 yr old...but TOO BUSY!! I flew across the country...just to run 3 miles in honor of a fire fighter...I'm still speechless over my experience...so maybe I'm biased? It just bugs me to no end!! Honestly, how sad...
Some people care about other things than you.. because something is important for you doesn't mean it's important for someone else.. And yes some people are just shallow.. try not to be bugged by it as you can't change them. Just put your energy in something more positive.
u know what bug me? 7 years almost passed and ground zero is still a big ugly hole! but you know what bug me more..the tourist (i pass by Ground zero on my way to work everyday)
If I were to visit Oahu, Hawaii and not visit the Pearl Harbor site, I wouldn't think of myself as shallow.
There's not much to see at ground zero...just a hole and some weeds. People go there to remember and grieve. This young guy came to NYC to have fun, so I don't blame him if he didn't go there.
