Hey, I was number 3 on google for the term invisionfree skins. My site was originally just a forum. Meaning inkdropstyles.com was just a forum. When I launched the website at the end of march we are now on the third page for that keyword. We went from 3rd to the 3rd page just because of the site? Is there any way I could fix this problem? Would adding a description and welcome message on the front page return our rank? Thanks for your help, Tom
Your site wouldn't even load for me so i couldn't check it. First thing i would do is run a keyword density check on your old index page (i assume now forum/index.php) for the "invisionfree skins" keyphrase. Then i would tweak the text content on your new index page so your keyphrase appears as the same density % as it did before. Monitor your position for several days and let us know if you see it climb or not. I won't offer any more advice now as i can't see the site.
I told you, you need to get the keyword density of that keyphrase up to the same % or occurance it was when the forum was the main page. That term now appears just once, but before it was several. Plus about 95% of your Meta Keywords & Phrases don't even appear in the on page text. Google doesn't like this as it appears your trying to manipulate your rankings with these terms when they arn't even contained on your page.
