    Hello there DigitalPoint.

First off, I'd like to state that I am no newbie to these types of forums. Honestly, I just didn't like DP because it seemed to be made up of self-proclaimed "Guru's" and whatnot marketing things to other newbies. After awhile though, I decided to join because I am told that this is one of the most populated marketplaces to sell articles on.

I've had a lot of experience in different fields online, but I always seem to fall back on writing articles for people. Here at DP, I like the marketplace set up because I can write about whatever I want, as long as someone is willing to buy it. That beats working for somebody that has daily "demands" and just ends up flaking out themselves after awhile. I see a lot of people charging $3 for 500 words, and don't see a whole lot of articles go unsold. That's very encouraging.

Anyway, some other things I've fooled around with was:

    • Paid Downloads
    • Writing for Associated Content
    • Affiliate Marketing with ClickBank
    • Selling Custom Web Pages

The above is the order of my success rate as well. I had higher hopes for web design, but there is simply too much competition out there. Instead of customizing web pages for people (very time consuming), I plan on going into simply selling pre-made templates. I'm currently developing a cross-platform wizard for editing the templates I make, sort of like those online WSYWIG-type things. The only difference is that mine will be an offline application. Hopefully that will put a unique spin on my templates.

While that is in development, I need to make some money. To do this, I plan on selling some articles in the Trade section. Unfortunately for me though, there is a two-week waiting period. So I'll share whatever I can during this time.

I warn you, my posts are usually pretty long. I have the habit to include every little fact I know on a subject, then thinking of something else 5 minutes later and re-editing. Even though I do this, it is usually informational and not just a bunch of paragraphs of nonsense. Most of the time I try to include numbered lists so people can skip ahead and read what part of the post pertains to them.

If you've read all this, I congratulate you, however I think your time would be better spent in other sections of this forum. ;)
