I recently started Go Green Articles and was looking for some feedback on the site. Any and all comments are welcome.
Well I feel I shouldn't comment on peoples sites as when I need a review there is a lack of... But nonetheless it's a good site. I'm sure your niche will grow. I would make a logo as thats your first step to making your brand after that I would submit to digg, reddit, and stumble best of luck I also have a domain name HelpUsGoGreen.info if it interest you I have no use for it.
It's a pretty busy page - makes my eyes blur a bit. I love the green concept and once built a log cabin with solar power, recycled water for grey water, etc. I would suggest putting tabs rather than having the subjects listed - or somehow break the page up a bit to add more white space. There is just too much (small font) text for the average reader to focus well. You need to try and make each point easy to read. If they want to learn more about THAT point, then they can click on it and read more in-depth about it. Green energy is a hot topic again and you should be able to do well once you get the page reader friendly. You might ask some of your green friends to take a look at it as well and get their feedback.
@workathomeshop ~ Site back up and running...Using Shared hosting and apparently they have a thing for too many files in an account... long story short: too many sites on account using cached pages so I deleted them and now all sites back up and running. ( I need to set up a cron job to delete cache every so often I guess.) Everyone else, thanks for the comments on the site.
Nice site design. It's really neat and clean. I like the header image-wind farms look awesome. Ad placement is good as well. You've got a lot of room on the front page that isn't being used though. There's also a tag cloud(?) or topic list in the middle of the front page (Alternative Energy, Climate Change, Conservation, etc), but there's really no explanation of what it does. I had to mouse over a link to make sure it wasn't a huge block of text ads.
The lighter yellowish-green color used in the background is a little blinding. Other than that, looking good!
