Godaddy Cant transfer domain names for 60 days ?

I've basically bought some domain names , via ebay and have transfered them into my account.

But once there in my godaddy account , it states there policy that the domain name cannot be transfered for 60 days.

this does seem a tad unfair , if i have bought the name to try and sell before the 60 days.

also i find this policy is the same when you update any of the details , such as change of address , email etc that would be associated with the domain name

i fully appericate this is i'm sure to help prevent any kind of fraud and a name been sold that was not the other persons to sell etc.

But have i got this right ??? i cant sell the domain name for 60 days ???

You can transfer to another GD account instantly. No idea about transferring out, as I've never done so :)

What i was told recently is that this rule holds at all registrars, you can sell and push the domain within godaddy without waiting for the 60 days, but if its a transfer to a different registrar then there is the 60 day wait before you can do that.

Yep, it is applicable to all registrars. I had similar queries when folks purchased .in domains on my site and wanted to sell them off same day... perhaps not reading the TOS prior to going for the bargain.

    Cheers
