Sorry if this is the wrong forum .. . I've noticed that on my domains hosted with godaddy where I'm running wordpress on the front end, the domains are down. When I open the page it's blank and the source is empty as well. Is anyone else having any problems like that? My sites that have Joomla or straight HTML on the front end are fine, but every domain running wordpress on the front is down. Also,I can ftp in and see that everything is there and ok. I emailed their support but I don't want to wait a day to find out what the problem is.
Anybody else on this? I just registered a new domain and bought a hosting package to check, and within a few minutes I was getting the "coming soon" page that is standard with the hosting accounts. As soon as I installed wordpress on the root directory (from their own godaddy hosting connection) everything disappeared.
yes both my WP sites are down. I called like 2 hours ago and they said its a known bug with the interface WP uses to mySQL, but they must have changed something cus Ive been using WP on godaddy for months without problems. I made them give me a months free credit for this. Let me know when yours comes back up.
Is it possible the DNS has not resolved yet or is the problem specific to the wordpress install? EDIT - oh it looks like someone else answered at the same time so maybe you have found the problem
My wordpress blog is still down. Can't access it, but I can see its webstats from the domain manager =P.
Looks like everything is back up. I really need to hook up Skype or something since I'm in China. I have a ton of domains that were running wordpress and they all should be getting me something for free, for as long as they were down!
The blogs are displaying again, but when you go to /wp-admin you get Warning: main(/home/content/domain/html/wp-admin/includes/image.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/i/a/m/domain/html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 6 Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home/content/domain/html/wp-admin/includes/image.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/content/domain/html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 6 Anyway they should have tested this better before they deployed whatever across their servers. 2 days of downtime and no ability to update so far. Really bad.
Call them and get them to give you atleast 1 month free. If you have as many domains as you say you have, its the least they can do.
No I had manually updated that a little while back with no issues. Alot of bloggers that use GoDaddy and wordpress on Blogcatalog were complaining about their blogs being down as well.
Hmm, not bad. So you got 1 free month from them because of this problem, eh? Thats good. They didn't even refund the domain charges after a domain I back ordered (but was notified it was taken before Godaddy got it) showed up in my account 2 weeks later
