If you can't build your own site then GoDaddy is pretty good. Their templates are so easy it is crazy. When you buy a domain name your get a free website tonight credit, so all the domains I have for sell have a site up. Google has indexed all of them and has given me #1 placement for most of them. My business site is small, so I have not experienced any slowness.
My belief is that any site one makes with those sitebuilders that registrars provide you will be next to worthless.
Yea, out of curiosity, why DID rathorme get banned? Only had three posts, none of them really that offensive. Unless he was a dupe user or something? (The godaddy comment was kind of humorous, and it's not unreasonable to think someone joined a forum to get referrals from people they sign up to a host or whatever... happens all the time. Even if it's not blatant, they'll often try to get them in PM.)
Yup. I use 'em and have no complaints. Mind you I don't have super crazy traffic, but I've had like 10000 visits in one day. Skinny
That's insane! How much of the 25 / 300 gigs do you actually use? With that price, I would think that if you used anywhere near that amount, the server would just die.
LOL. I wonder what their setup is like, I'm always curious about how the MASSIVE hosts do it. I mean, do they have different boxes with terabytes of storage and put X many customers on each one? Is it clusters with a massive raid backend? Anyone work with this level of equipment and volume of customers?
I thtink site ground is better - better service - wat u think abt their plans and technical soundness?
Yeah... Godaddy.... ummm... put a 302 on all my pages, and wouldn't fix it. Then they changed the .htaccess and made it worst.
I was going to buy a domain from godaddy a couple weeks ago, but I heard some bad things so I didn't go with it. Dreamhost also made me pretty mad too. However at the moment I'm between sites. So I'll find new hosting and domains later on.
I prefer keep apart hosting from domain registrars. GoDaddy is good but not the cheaper or easier to manage.
What do you guys think of Lunarpages... so far they have been pretty responsive to my needs and they offer a similar shared package to that of globat? Figured you all would know a little more..
Godaddy is just so good to be true so, don't believe all what you see don't want to make you hate it, but i've experience along with many others
Don't get me started on GoDaddy i wouldn't even use them for domains, plus they have possibly the most annoying spammy website on the planet.
