Which do you guys prefer and why?

I personally like namecheap because I think their user panel is easier to use. And I can always find a $1 off coupon floating around : )

I've been using namecheap for years, its one of the best domain companies around. I've used godaddy and I wasn't so happy with the support.

I rather Namecheap; they have a good interface and a non confusing structure. Their prices are relatively cheap as well.

I've been using godaddy, but it sounds like I'll have to check out namecheap.

I prefer Godaddy - it's cheaper. However, I like Namecheap more when buying a new domain name - no any forced offers for web hosting like Godaddy has.

I have heard some rumors on Godaddy that domains get stolen.

I use Namecheap, its user friendly, cheap and good support.

i use godaddy for years. they are annoying, but i can allways find some coupons and pay less than on Namecheap. I have account on namecheap too, and they are more simple. never heard that domains can get stolen.

I prefer NameCheap because they have a better admin panel and they don't make you wait 60 days to transfer ownership of a domain. Also, they run promotional deals more frequently than does GoDaddy. Also, GoDaddy is right down the street from me and I think the people that work there are assholes =p

    Both Suck.

Namecheap doesn't allow you to register domains with certain keywords.

    And are they really cheap?

    And Godaddy :D

Watch those Super Bowl Big Breasted Babes ads!:D

There are many Registrars available in the market.. Why not to compare them and choose the best and reliable one?

If you can make it through all of the annoying upsells, GoDaddy can be cheaper with coupons that are always available. Namecheap is more user friendly. Most of the time I'll buy a domain at GoDaddy (love those $0.99 .coms that pop up every now and then) and transfer to Namecheap before renewal time saving a buck or two when compared to GD's rate for the year.

I don't really like using either one. Have tried them both, but wasn't impressed. There are a lot more better domain name registrars to use.
