    Here is the GoDaddy/Namecheap difference:

    Namecheap:

New Domain + Free Privacy Guard (First Year)

$7-$9 for the Domain every year after that, but cheaper if you use a coupon they always seem to have, or if you register multiple years.

For Privacy Guard it is about $2.xx every year after the first year, bringing the total yearly cost for a domain to around $10-$11.

    GoDaddy:

In order to qualify for Free Privacy Guard through DomainsByProxy.com even in the first year, you must register multiple domains.

It used to be 4 domain registrartions to get free Privacy Guard. Now I believe it takes 5 domain registrations to get free Privacy Guard.

Guess what? That is only for the length of that registration. After the registration expires you will pay around $8 for basic Privacy Guard per domain.

So in reality a domain with privacy guard at GoDaddy will cost you $16-$18 per year.

However, I do believe GoDaddy does have the better domain security. Both are reliable registrars. The only hangup is being an email marketer. GoDaddy is unkind to Internet Marketers, because of the 1 spam complaint and you are out policy.

Add the $199 fee to keep from losing your domain altogether in that scenario, and it may seem unwise to do email marketing or affiliate programs with GoDaddy.com registered domains.

Namecheap's security isn't as robust, but they have a quick and easy registration process, free from a non-stop chain of upsells like that of GoDaddy.com.

In either case I believe both are good registrars unless you use email marketing. In that case it is always better to use Namecheap.com.

As far as hosting is concerned I would host my website with either company. I would recommend getting your hosting elsewhere like HostMonster, Dreamhost, etc.

I had serious problems with Namecheap.
I renewed my .eu domain, the renew order was accepted and the expiration domain went to 2010.
Unfortunately, they did renew the domain at the European domain registration and my domain expired.
I had to pay 200 USD to unlock it.
And they did not admit their error.

What can I do to resolve such a problem?

I am always prefer to buy the domain names with the Godaddy. That is the great way for anyone in using the various coupons to get the maximum amount of profit. This is extremely useful for anyone in getting the information in a quick manner.
