Yeah, I've never understood why a multi-million dollar cooperation would have such a non-consumer friendly control panel. You would think they would spend some time and money cleaning it up. Maybe they have some business since behind it, like the more confusing their site is the more time consumers spend on their site, which in turn equals more sales. Even though I don't understand it and am not fond of it, I still keep my domains there.
I feel name.com has a clean and easy to use interface to manage domains plus for purchases. The prices are also cheap. I've been sticking to it for the domains I buy henceforth. Haven't tried GoDaddy though.
I use three different hosts actually.. Name.com, Godaddy, and Namecheap. I like all three and usually find they work well together. One of the three usually has the bargain i need when i need it.
I also started with go daddy but now shifted to name.com as name.com also have some awesome previledge like ..we can buy domain using no verified paypal .. Name.com roxx
